KIDS CLASSES
KIDS:
We teach Kickboxing, MMA, BJJ, Muay Thai and Karate in a safe and friendly environment, from the age of 4+. Parents are welcome and encouraged to watch their kids while training. Kids are motivated to enter various tournaments to obtain provincial and/or national colors. Youth martial arts are a great way to develop discipline and self-esteem.
ADULT CLASSES
ADULTS:
Whether your emphasis is on personal protection, improved health and fitness, and/or mental clarity and well being, our classes will help you discover the incredible benefits of our adult classes and its traditional values to everyday living.
Regardless of your age, current physical condition or abilities, we will be happy to inspire you to realize your personal best through our programs.
2022 - African Championships held in Benoni, South Africa
Elite MMA made a significant impact at the WAKO Kickboxing African Championship, competing against athletes from South Africa, Mauritius, Morocco, Nigeria, Sudan, Senegal, Angola, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, and Algeria.
7 Kids from Elite MMA participated, securing an impressive 5 gold, 6 silver, and 1 bronze medal. This exceptional performance not only showcases the depth of skill and dedication within Elite MMA but also highlights our position as a powerhouse in kickboxing. A remarkable achievement from this competition is the recognition of 5 of our young talents as African champions, further reinforcing our commitment to excellence in every facet of our training.
2022 - Junior World Championships held in Jesolo, Italy
Elite MMA continues to make a mark on the global kickboxing stage, showcasing its prowess at the WAKO Children, Cadets, and Junior World Championships held in Jesolo, Italy. A gathering of 63 nations from around the world, this prestigious event witnessed spirited competition, and Elite MMA emerged with commendable results, standing tall.
Out of the 7 participants, 4 earned National Colors, and 3 received Presidents Colors. Among these remarkable achievements, Elite MMA proudly brought home a Gold medal, signifying a World Champion, along with 2 Bronze medals.

Shihan DAVE VENTER
Shihan Dave Venter
I started martial arts (JKA – Japanese Karate Association) in 1977 under Sensei Jimmy Cook which was the head of the old Eastern Transvaal region. Our style head was well-known sensei Stan Schmidt.
November 1977 I did my first grading to a yellow belt. It took me 6 years to earn my first dan in karate, which I accomplished in 1983. While doing martial arts under these great instructors I became South Eastern and Northern Transvaal champion in kumite as well as kata, and represented the Northern Transvaal team at the annual South African Championships.
While I was in matric I was one of the two instructors based at the Middelburg dojo. I did my kickboxing grading under Shihan Pat Carney.
I participated in Boland tournaments, became Boland champion, then moved to Western Province and became WP champion. I represented Boland, WP and West Coast at the SA Champions in the recent years. In November 2017 I graded for my 5th black belt in kickboxing in George, under Shihan Natasha Crous.
In 2014 I was National Coach at the Junior WAKO World Champs in Rimini, Italy. In 2015 I was coach and fighter in the Senior WAKO World Champs in Dublin, Ireland.

MY HISTORY WITH THE EFC 2009- current
These are all the fighters that I trained, worked with and managed 2009- current as Panther and now as Silverback. I invested millions of hours in making MMA work in South Africa and enjoyed every minute of it. Well done to each and every fighter that made it to the top, and looking forward to those that are still on their journey, reaching their dreams. Well done to the EFC for being the biggest platform for fighters in South Africa 2009- present. How quickly people forget how ungoverned and unpopular MMA was in South Africa 1994-2009. Thank you for providing my fighters with this fantastic platform. Might have got some of these stats/numbers/names/times wrong, but I think it’s pretty accurate. LOL I have not forgotten all my K1, Muay Thai and Boxing Champs, this is my history with the EFC. To those of you that have moved on, I am still your biggest fan.
